Friday, October 27, 2023 The Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Vancouver hosted an event on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye.
The event commemorates the founder of the Republic Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all the heroes of Turkiye’s National Struggle.
Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Vancouver Mr. Hüseyin Emrah Kurt celebrated the new year of the Republic with the participation of local Canadian friends, Consular members, and Dignitaries with over 300 people including Turkiye’s citizens living here in Vancouver.
The reception was held at Royal Vancouver Yacht Club in Vancouver.
Mr. Hüseyin Emrah Kurt stated that, “We are pleased to see that every achievements of Türkiye is followed with hope by all the oppressed people in our region and in the world. We are determined to glorify the ideal of a great and powerful Turkiye”
Hon. Bruce Ralston- Minister of Forests said, “The centurion of Turkiye’s is an opportunity to recognize the friendship of our two countries.”
The minister highlighted the vital role about 8000 Turkish citizens make to British Columbia.
After the program guest were served with authentic Turkish delicacies.
